Elite Position Camp
(open to all and any girls entering grades 9-12 in fall 2010)
 
Date: June 10-11, 2010
Location: Drake University Knapp Center - Des Moines, IA
Cost: $185.00 Overnight Camper
          $165.00 Day Camper
 
Camp Schedule:
June 10th:  11:45am-12:30am, Registration
                      1:00pm-9:00pm, Camp
June 11th:     8:00am-4pm, Camp
 
Camp Emphasis
This challenging camp is designed to prepare players for their high school varsity and those aspiring to play in college. Each player will get the opportunity to improve the skills needed for their individual position. Post players will receive instruction on establishing post position, rebounding, individual moves, post defense and all aspects of post play. Guards will be instructed on ball handling, passing, moving without the ball, perimeter defense, and all aspects of guard play. The first session will begin at 1:00 pm on June 10th and will close at 4:00 p.m. on June 11th.
 
Camp Features:
  • All campers will receive a ball, a T-shirt, and a team poster.
  • A facility tour.
  • Everyone will have chances to win prizes, including Drake apparel.
  • Everyone will receive a personalized goal book.
  • The Camp Store will be open every day.
  • Pizza Party
  • Campers will be taught by the Drake Coaching Staff, current and former Drake players, and area H.S. coaches.
What to Bring:
Basketball shoes, water bottle, athletic shorts, T-shirts (Drake apparel is always good), towel, sleeping bag, pillow, alarm clock, and a great attitude to learn!
